Verify LinkedIn

LinkedIn works two different ways depending on whether you’re verifying yourself or a company.

A personal profile

  1. Add your handle. On Edit profile, put your profile slug in the LinkedIn row — the part after /in/. You can paste the whole URL if you prefer.
  2. Press Save handles, then Verify, and sign in to LinkedIn.

A Company, School, or Showcase Page

LinkedIn doesn’t let us confirm Page admin rights through sign-in, so Pages use a code instead. Enter the handle with its prefix so we know it’s a Page — company/acme, school/acme, or showcase/acme. A full LinkedIn URL works too.

  1. Save the handle, then press Verify to get your code:

  1. Paste it into the Page’s tagline or About section and publish the change.
  2. Press Verify Page. Once it’s verified you can remove the code.

LinkedIn can take a few minutes to make Page edits public, and it sometimes blocks automated checks. If the first attempt fails, wait a minute and try again.
