Set a funding goal

A goal turns an open-ended ask into a gap people can close. It’s a Pro and Max feature.

1. Open Getting backed and find Funding goal.
2. Enter a monthly goal in whole dollars — whatever the work actually costs you.
3. Add a goal label describing what it funds, up to 80 characters. This is for your own reference in the dashboard.
4. Press Save goal.

How the bar is counted

Your wall shows a percentage, a progress bar, and the dollar total against your target. It adds up every approved backing you’ve received since the first of the current month, one-time and monthly alike, and it resets on the 1st. So the bar always shows where you stand right now, not a lifetime total.

• The bar stops at 100% once you hit the target.
• The maximum goal is $100,000 a month.
• To turn it off, clear the amount (or set it to 0) and save.
