Change your username

Custom usernames are a Pro and Max feature. Your wall lives at sponsoredby.io/your-name, and that’s the link you’ll put everywhere — so it’s worth choosing once and keeping.

  1. Open Edit profile and find Profile link.
  2. Type the username you want. Lowercase letters, numbers and hyphens, 3–30 characters. Some names are reserved because they clash with pages on the site.
  3. Press Update.

Your old link stops working immediately. We don’t redirect the previous username to the new one, and it becomes available for someone else to claim right away. Update your README, bio links and newsletter footer before you change it — and change it as rarely as you can.

If your subscription lapses

A custom username is tied to a paid plan. If your subscription ends, you keep the name for 14 days. Resubscribe within that window and nothing changes. After it passes, your wall is moved to an automatically generated address — again with no redirect — and the custom name is released.
