How backing works
Anyone with an account can back a creator. There are two ways to give:
- One-time — a single contribution.
- Monthly — recurring support that renews until cancelled (available on walls whose creator is on a paid plan).
When you back someone, you can appear publicly on their wall or stay anonymous. Public backings show your name (and message, if you leave one); anonymous backings still count toward the creator’s totals but hide your identity.
Your place on the wall is permanent
However you give, your support stays credited. Whether you back once or monthly, your spot on the creator’s wall is permanent — cancelling a monthly backing stops future charges but does not remove your past support, your name, or your placement. Once you’ve backed someone, you keep your place. (Monthly backers keep an active badge while their backing is live, and your contribution history remains on the wall either way.)
Payments are processed by Stripe and go straight to the creator. You’ll get a receipt by email, and you can manage or cancel a monthly backing anytime from your Sponsoring page.
