Free, Pro & Max plans
Every plan gives you a public wall and direct payouts to your own Stripe account. Paid plans lower your platform fee and unlock more features.
- Free — $0/mo, 10% platform fee. Public wall, standard backing amounts, the embed badge, and direct Stripe payouts.
- Pro — $29/mo, 5% platform fee. Everything in Free, plus a custom username, higher backing limits, monthly recurring backings, and a public funding goal with a progress bar.
- Max — $49/mo, 3% platform fee. Everything in Pro, plus the lowest fee, sponsor update emails, and referrer/UTM analytics.
Two separate fees come out of each backing
When someone backs you, two independent fees are deducted before the money reaches you:
- The SponsoredBy platform fee — 10% on Free, 5% on Pro, 3% on Max. This is our fee, and it’s the only fee your plan changes.
- Stripe’s payment-processing fee — Stripe’s standard charge for processing the card (about 2.9% + 30¢ for US cards; the exact rate is set by Stripe and varies by country and payment method).
These are completely separate — our platform fee does not include Stripe’s fee, and Stripe’s fee is not part of our cut. SponsoredBy never holds your money: each backing is paid directly into your connected Stripe account, with the platform fee taken as an application fee and Stripe’s processing fee taken by Stripe.
Worked example
A $100 backing on the Pro plan (5% platform fee):
- SponsoredBy platform fee: −$5
- Stripe processing fee (approx.): −$3.20
- You receive: about $91.80
Stripe’s fee is an estimate — the exact amount depends on the card and country. Because you’re the merchant of record on your backings, Stripe issues your 1099-K (where applicable), not SponsoredBy.

Upgrade or change plans anytime from Pricing or Settings. Use the Stripe billing portal (linked from Settings) to switch plans, update your card, or cancel. Cancelling keeps your wall live on the Free plan.
