Creating a wall — anywhere
Anyone can create a wall, set it up, verify handles, and share it. That part has no geographic restriction.
Receiving payouts — United States only, for now
To actually receive money you need a United States–based Stripe account and bank account. This is the one real limit today, and it’s the thing we most want to widen. Your wall works everywhere in the meantime — only payouts are restricted.
Backing a creator — anywhere
Backers aren’t restricted by country. If Stripe accepts your card, you can back a creator.
One exception worth knowing. Backings above $1,000 are usually paid by bank transfer rather than card, and that method needs a U.S. bank account. If you’re outside the U.S. and want to back someone at that level, ask the creator — they can allow card payments for large backings from their settings.
Currency
Everything on SponsoredBy is in U.S. dollars. Amounts on walls, plans, and payouts are all USD. If your card is in another currency, your bank converts at their rate and may add a foreign transaction fee.
