For artists

Patronage is older than galleries. Now it’s a link.

Illustration, comics, 3D, painting — a sponsorship wall gives your audience a direct way to fund the work, and a public plaque that makes them part of it.

Why it works
Their names stand on your wall the way patrons’ names stand in a museum lobby.

The patronage model built art history: named supporters funding working artists, credited in public. Social platforms broke the credit half — ten thousand people can admire a piece and the artist can’t pay rent with admiration. A wall restores the old deal in modern form: your audience backs the practice, not a product. For commission-based artists it also smooths the feast-and-famine — monthly backers are the floor under the fluctuating months.

Placement

Where your wall earns its keep

01

Link-in-bio everywhere

Instagram, Bluesky, X: the one link should be the one that shows who already backs you.

02

Your webcomic or portfolio site

A footer badge on every page, and a patrons section that is the wall itself.

03

Captions on finished pieces

The moment a piece lands is the moment someone decides to fund the next one.

04

Commission sheets

Clients who love working with you are one line away from becoming standing backers.

Who backs artists

Artists get backed by the people who’ve followed the work for years — and by clients who want the relationship to outlast a single commission. The plaque is the modern patron’s credit: name, tier, tenure, publicly attached to an artist whose work they believed in. Backers who prefer privacy can stay anonymous; the ones who don’t become the social proof that convinces the next follower the work is worth funding.

How SponsoredBy works

Money goes straight to you

One-time or monthly backings, paid directly into your own Stripe account — we never hold your money. Fees: 10% on Free, 5% on Pro, 3% on Max.

Everyone is verified

You verify a handle or domain to unlock payouts; sponsors giving larger amounts pass an identity check. The names on your wall are real people.

Support becomes plaques

Backers appear on your public wall with a tier, a name (or anonymous, their choice), and how long they’ve backed you.

Payouts currently require a U.S. Stripe account — more countries are coming. Your wall works everywhere.

Show the world who’s got your back.

Free to join. Your wall is live in minutes, and every backer after that is public credit.
