Podia is a storefront: people give you money and receive a product. A sponsorship wall has nothing to deliver — people fund the work and get credit for it. If you have a course or a download to sell, that is what a storefront is for. If what you have is an audience that would fund you, it is machinery you are paying for monthly and not using.
| SponsoredBy | Podia | |
|---|---|---|
| What it’s for | Public sponsorship. People fund work that stays free, and get credit for it. | Selling online courses, digital downloads, coaching and paid communities, with a site builder and email marketing bundled in. |
| Are supporters public? | Yes. Every backer gets a plaque with their name, tier and how long they’ve backed you — or stays anonymous by choice. | No. Community member profiles are visible only to other logged-in members, and the only named content a visitor sees is testimonials you write yourself. |
| Who holds the money | You do. Every backing is paid into your own Stripe account; we never hold it. | Straight into your own connected Stripe or PayPal account. |
| Cost | Free plan takes 10%. Pro is $29/mo and takes 5%; Max is $49/mo and takes 3%. Stripe’s processing is separate. | $49, $99 or $179 a month billed monthly (less if you pay annually). The cheapest plan adds a 5% transaction fee; the two above it take 0%. Processor fees are separate. |
Podia figures were read from their own pricing page in August 2026. Pricing changes — check theirs before deciding.
You have a course, a download or a community to sell, and you want the tools to deliver it.
You have work worth funding and nothing to sell — and you would rather not build a product to get paid.
Plenty of creators run both. A wall doesn’t ask you to move anything — it’s a link you add.
A wall takes a few minutes to set up, costs nothing on the free plan, and doesn’t replace anything.
